Jeremy Furr is Senior Vice President of Strategic Sourcing for Stryten Energy, a provider of stored electrical-energy solutions for transportation and industrial markets. He leads the Strategic Sourcing, Procurement and Logistics teams. His teams are responsible for the purchasing of lead (scrap and tolled), recycled plastic chips and resin, premium metals, battery components, purchased batteries and the chemicals used in our manufacturing plants. Mr. Furr and his team also manage the allocation of customer core returns and the scrap purchased on the open market. His Logistics team is responsible for negotiation with carriers, as well as coordinating and moving cores, lead, battery components and finished batteries into, within and out of Stryten’s network supply chain. Mr. Furr is a member of the Association of Battery Recyclers (ABR) and has been with the company for over 6 years.
Mr. Furr has more than 23 years experience in the energy industry in various leadership roles. His experience includes sourcing leadership roles at General Electric (in the Gas Power, Power Services, Oil & Gas and Renewable Energy groups), as well as quality and operations management for GE’s nuclear energy business. Prior to GE, he held quality and manufacturing leadership roles at Spectrum Dyed Yarns.
Mr. Furr is Six Sigma Greenbelt certified and received his Bachelor of Science from North Carolina State University.
