May is Military Appreciation Month, dedicated to the men and women who are currently in the military or who have previously served our country. At Stryten Energy, we have a proud history of supporting our military veterans.
Stryten Energy has been a sponsor for Rivers of Recovery since 2021. Our donations directly support combat veterans suffering with post-traumatic stress, mild traumatic brain injury, and other psychological wounds of war by providing them the opportunity to experience Rivers of Recovery’s unique rehabilitation program.

Rivers of Recovery is changing lives for the better, by providing these brave men and women with the mental and physical treatment they need to reconnect with their families, their communities and themselves as civilians. Stryten is honored to be part of that mission,” said Tim Vargo, Chairman of the Board at Stryten Energy.
As a part of the sponsorship, veteran employees from Stryten Energy also have the opportunity to participate in several fly-fishing trips alongside Rivers of Recovery guides and program participants. Two Stryten employees, who are U.S. Navy veterans, participated in the three-day expedition and shared a blog about their experience.
Stryten Energy is also the platinum sponsor for Rivers of Recovery’s annual Stars and Stripes charity fishing tournament. All proceeds from the tournament help Rivers of Recovery in providing additional therapeutic excursions for our nation’s wounded warriors.

We hire military members across every level of the company from the executive management team to the plant floor. Many veterans have progressed through the company via multiple promotions. Our goal is to provide opportunities that allow military veterans to apply the valuable skills and strong work ethic they gained in the service into a great career.
