New Name:
M-Series SLS 710,
SLS 550, SLS 500,
SLS 500E & SLS 405
Former Name:
Element SLS Locomotive Starting
The M-Series SLS batteries utilize proven Absolyte VRLA technology to create the industry’s first low-maintenance railway diesel starting battery. The batteries are non-spillable, thus eliminating damage to equipment and greatly reducing environmental concerns, and increasing personnel safety.
Features & Benefits
- Low Maintenance
Since the cells never need watering, the only maintenance required is proper charging and periodic inspection. - Vibration Resistance
Epoxy coating on connector bolts provides vibration resistance to intercell connections. With this design, cell replacement is safe and can be accomplished without tray removal. - Horizontal Orientation
The cells are placed in a horizontal orientation in a partitioned steel tray that permits easy cell removal during battery service.
